Okay, last month I heard Mr. Clean had died.
How can that be?
He's at work downstairs.
Right below me.
In my house.
And because he's task driven, he was none to happy to stop for a posed photo--but because he loves me, he humored me!
I just have to let the world know, okay not the world, but the handful of folks who read this blog, that my husband cleans our entire home from top to bottom every week. He does all the laundry too. (I do vacuum, but that's about it.)
Usually he crazy cleans on Fridays, but since I was off yesterday, he spent the day with me instead.

Today, he's back at it. I caught him in the laundry room.
Notice, the two fisted technique: Swiffer in one hand, feather duster in the other. He is so thorough.
He's a giving man, and this is only a portion of what does for me...

My husband has always helped out with housekeeping duties. I don't know about the rest of the female population, but I think a man who cleans house is sexy and mucho macho! Love you Dale!

We all love Dale! Yay Dale!
would mr. clean like to visit our house every week?!!
You don't need him, you just had a party on Friday night, so your house is clean! How about you just have a party every week???
I'm smiling because I'm trying to think if I've ever had a man in my life that cared about cleaning. Paul did vacuum my whole house on numerous occasions when we were getting ready to have company. He also washed my kitchen floor and steps leading to the basement more than once. He pays a house cleaner to clean his own home but never offered that perk to me - ha! I guess I could have asked! His house is way tidier (sp?) than mine, so I think he would easily be the only man I've ever known that was concerned about such things.
Just to give you a laugh, I have a little caligraphy matted piece that says "An immaculate house is the sign of a misspent life." My mom got it for me long ago and it made us laugh. My house and housekeeping never recovered once I went to work full time. I always said that was the price I paid for having creative kids - they were messy and I got tired of trying to keep up with them. What they call clean and/or tidy and what I call it are really quite different.
My mom would also always say, "Visual clutter is mental clutter." To which I would reply, sometimes you just have to ignore the clutter and focus on other aspects of your life : ) I'd give her my "let it go" speech.
I've always greatly enjoyed a tidy house though, and do breathe a peaceful sigh when I'm in other people's clean and tidy homes. Maybe someday!
You are welcome here at any time!
I am relating to "mama"!
Too funny, "Mama" is actually my friend Mara. But her I.D. is Mama because her daughter is in China, and so she established her I.D. to post on Elle's blog. Problem, Elle (linked to my blog), doesn't blog enough!
